1 TRUST & SAFETY

1.1 How does Foodikted ensure Food Health & Safety?

At Foodikted we take Trust and Safety very seriously. In fact it is our # 1 goal. Each host goes through an extensive vetting process before their first Foodikted event. 

(a) KNOW YOUR HOST - We meet every new host and get to know them personally;
(b) FOODIKTED'S FOOD HEALTH & SAFETY (FH&S) - We personally visit their home and kitchen and assess them based on strict Foodikted's  FH&S standards through a safety checklist. We take any necessary actions to make sure they are in compliance;
(d) TRAINING - We train each host for FH&S or are certified by a recognised Food Safety Institute.

1.2 How do I report a misconduct during the event?

All Foodikted hosts and guests are expected to be respectful and keep a safe environment for others at a Foodikted event. In an unlikely situation if you become aware of a member's wrong behaviour or actions you are requested to immediately report such conduct to Foodikted at contact@foodikted.com.

2 GENERAL

2.1 How does Foodikted work?
Foodikted provides an online platform that connects Foodies (Guests) with Hosts for a unique food experience at the Host’s premises. You will need to create an account to access any service/s provided by Foodikted.

3 ACCOUNT

3.1 How do I sign up to become a Foodikted host or guest?

Whether you are a host or guest you must first sign up to create a Foodikted account.

To sign up go to https://www.foodikted.com/en/signupYou can sign up using your Facebook account or email.

3.2 How do I login to Foodikted?

To login go to https://www.foodikted.com/en/login. You can login with Facebook or using you email and password.
 
3.3 What do I do if I have forgotten my password?

If you have forgotten your password go to https://www.foodikted.com/en/login and click "Forgot username or password" at the bottom of the page.

3.4 How do I change my password?

If you know your existing password and want to reset the password go to "Settings", then "Account" in the left-menu and click "Change" next to "Password".

4 PAYMENTS

4.1 What payment gateway does Foodikted use?

Foodikted uses secure and encrypted Paypal as the trusted payment gateway for all transactions.

4.2 What types of debit and credit cards are accepted?

All debits & credit cards are accepted including Visa, Mastercard and Amex.

4.3 How do you determine the Event fees?

Event fees are set by the Host in consultation with Foodikted. A number of factors are assessed to determine the Event fees including number of courses, ingredients used e.g. seafood is generally more expensive, quality and presentation of food, whether alcohol is included or not, uniqueness of venue etc.

4.4 What is the cancellation and refund policy?

It is important that Hosts commit to undertake the Event when they have scheduled it. It is also important for Guests to honour their commitment to attend the event as the Host relies on the number of confirmed reservations to buy ingredients and prepare for the Event.

5 HOST

5.1 How do I become a Host?

To become a Foodikted host follow the 3-steps below.

Step 1: Sign up for a Foodikted account. Go to https://www.foodikted.com/en/signup.

Step 2: Create a Paypal Premier account.

You can have either a Paypal Premier or Business account. In most cases we recommend creating a Premier account unless you have an ABN.

Click here to create a Paypal Premier account. Then scroll down to click "Looking for a premier account?" and click "Sign Up for Free" under "Premier" section.

Step 3: Link your Paypal (Premier/Business) account to Foodikted under "Settings" - "Payments".

5.2 How do I set up a new event?

To set up a new event go to https://www.foodikted.com/en/listings/new. You will be prompted to sign in before setting up a new event.

5.3 What do I need to do to promote my own event?

Share your event on your Facebook, Instagram and other social media accounts. We encourage you to share your event to "Public" when sharing on Facebook to reach wider audience in friends of friends.

To share you event go to your Foodikted event listing and click the "Share" button at the bottom of listing.

5.4 What are the fees and charges?

Foodikted does not charge any fees for creating an account or setting up a new event. Host are charged only at the time of confirmed booking and payment from a Guest.

Foodikted will deduct 12% of the Event Fees and credit the remaining amount to Host's Paypal account.

5.5 What is the criteria to become a Foodikted Host?

To become a Foodikted host you must be a passionate cook who loves entertaining people and providing unique dining experiences.

All Foodikted Hosts must also meet Foodikted Health and Safety standards. A Foodikted team member will contact you to go through the details after you sign up and create your first event.

5.6 When do I get paid?

Within 24 hours of payment from a Guest towards an event booking funds will be transferred to your Paypal account after deducting Foodikted Service Fees.

6 GUEST

6.1 How do I book an event?

On the event listing page enter the "Number of guests" and click the "Book Now" button. On the next page, enter any optional message for the Host, accept Foodikted's Terms of Use & Privacy Policy and click "Proceed to payment".

You will receive an email receipt upon successful payment.
